Hi, Im Emily, Izzys big sister.
On November the 10th, 2006, Isabel ('Izzy') Borau was found dead in her Benhill Avenue
flat in Sutton, Surrey. She had hung herself. Izzy was only 17 years old, a shining star taken away
from us in what can only amount to a moment of madness. Izzy had three older sisters, Emily(me),
Anna and Jenny, and a younger brother, Hannes. Peter, Izzys dad committed suicide in 2005. Kate,
Izzys mum lives in Sutton with Jenny and Hannes.
So many people have asked me to create a website for Izzy. More recently we have experienced a
double tragedy as Anna took her own life on January 11th. There is a separate Gone Too Soon website
for Anna, please visit it.
Nothing compares to the pain of losing a loved one to suicide, but by creating this site I hope I
can reach out to others who knew Izzy, and let them know that they are not alone.

I'm writing this from heaven, where I dwell with God above.

If I Knew
If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.
If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.
If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.
For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.
There will always be another day
to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance to say
our "Anything I can do?"
But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,

Right now I'm in a different place

Given to us from God above.
We didn't know how much you would teach us

Hey Izzy, just wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you today, and always are. I can't imagine how hard this is for your family. So much has happened in the last two years, its strange to think that your not here, I still cant get my head around it.
Sorry I couldnt come visit your grave today, I will as soon as I can. Look after your mum. We all miss you so so much xxxxxxx
